Star Holdings Group International Co., Limited (“STAR”) is an integrated agri-business company specializing in the import and distribution of edible oils. Through its subsidiaries, Grand Destiny Co., Limited and Word Lab Co., Limited, STAR has established itself as one of the largest importers and distributors of edible oils in Myanmar.

Established in March 2021, Grand Destiny Co., Limited and Word Lab Co., Limited have rapidly emerged as market leaders, achieving a combined annual import and distribution volume of up to 240,000 metric tons of RBD Palm Olein. While both companies focus on industrial distribution, Nova Apex Co., Limited, founded in June 2016, supplies RBD Palm Olein in consumer-friendly jerry cans.

As part of its integrated agri-business model, STAR operates a dedicated port and tank storage facility at Kyeemyindaing International Port (“KIP”) Terminal, where imported edible oil is received, stored, and distributed. STAR is continuously upgrading this facility to meet world-class standards, reflecting its commitment to delivering international-quality service to its customers.

Kyaw Htet
Executive Director
Kyaw Htet is a dynamic and forward-thinking executive with a solid academic background and extensive professional experience across diverse industries. A graduate in Electronics Engineering from the University of Wolverhampton, Kyaw began his career as a Business Development Executive in a prominent conglomerate. During this time, he honed his skills in strategic negotiation and successfully collaborated with international investors on high-impact projects.
In 2019, Kyaw transitioned to the insurance sector, assuming the role of Executive Director at First National Insurance Company Limited, where he played a pivotal role in driving growth and operational excellence within the organization.
Currently, Kyaw serves as the Executive Director at Star Holdings Group International Co., Ltd., leveraging his expertise in leadership, strategic planning, and cross-functional management to steer the organization toward success. His ability to combine technical acumen with business strategy has made him a key contributor to the group's continued expansion and innovation.

Siva Prakash Shanmugam
Deputy CEO / CFO
Siva Prakash is a highly experienced finance professional with over 30 years of work experience across diverse geographies and industries. He has a proven track record of effectively managing all financial operations, including budget development and allocation, financial account management, report generation, and revenue forecasting.
In addition to his finance expertise, Siva has successfully led various supporting functions, including Information Technology/Digital, Human Resources, Corporate Communication, Strategy, Business Development, Internal Audit, Administration/Procurement, and Sales.
As CFO/Deputy CEO, Siva's role focuses on optimizing fiscal health, building organizational strength, enhancing corporate culture, and leading business transformation.
Having been in Myanmar since 2016, Siva has gained extensive experience in the country. He holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) degree from Deakin University, Australia, and is a member of the Australian Society of Practising Accountants (CPA Australia).

Kyi Tha Nyo Win
Chief People Officer

Kyi Tha brings over 18 years of experience across various HR functions. Prior to joining Star Holdings Group International Co., Ltd., she led HR teams in industries such as engineering consulting, construction, ride-hailing tech, and coated steel manufacturing.
Throughout her career, Kyi Tha has provided strategic guidance and leadership in all areas of human resources, including talent acquisition, position management, performance and talent review, executive coaching, employee relations, compensation and benefits policy, and setting vision and direction for HR initiatives.
Kyi Tha holds a Master of Business Administration from UBIS University, Washington DC, United States.

Siva Prakash Shanmugam
Deputy CEO / CFO
Siva Prakash is a very experience finance professional with over 30 years work experience spanning different geographies and in multiple industries and sectors. He has a proven track record of effectively managing all financial operations. Proficient in budget development and allocation, financial account management, report generation, and revenue forecasting. Besides Finance, he has also led other supporting functions including Information Technology / Digital, Human Resources, Corporate Communication, Strategy, Business Development, Internal Audit, Admin / Procurement and Sales. As a CFO / Deputy CEO, his role focuses on optimising fiscal health, building the organization, enhancing the corporate culture and leading the business transformation. Siva has been in Myanmar since 2016 and has extensive experience in the country. Kyi Tha has more than 18 years of experience in various HR Functions, and she has been leading the HR team in Engineering Consultant Company, Construction Companies, Ride Hailing Tech Company, Coated Steel Manufacturing Company before joining Star Holdings Group International Co., Ltd. She has served in the strategic guidance and leadership for all aspects of the human resources function talent acquisition, position management, performance & talent review, executive coaching, employee relations, compensation & benefits policy, establishing a vision & direction. She holds a Master of Business Administration from the UBIS University, Washington DC, United States.
